Ferreri Family Story

In 1984, the father-and-son team of Louis and Nicholas Ferreri started an Adult Care Facility in Jamestown, NY. Through the years of growth and success since then, the Ferreri family has continued to be a leader in providing service to seniors and their families. Here, Nicholas Ferreri describes the personal story of the family's newest facility, Memory Garden.

"When my father, Louis Ferreri, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 1995, we experienced firsthand the devastation and frustration that many families face. Unable to find an appropriate facility in the area, we tried home care services, and then moved my father to a Skilled Nursing Facility. Unfortunately, they were not able to provide the care he needed for his growing dementia. I have always regretted not being able to do more to help my father live out his last months with greater dignity and comfort.

Given our family's expertise in caring for seniors, what better tribute could I offer him than to develop a special facility devoted to caring for those with Alzheimer's disease? We did extensive research, consulted with top experts, and drew up plans to construct the best possible home to meet the specific needs of such individuals while restoring purpose and dignity to their lives.

We are pleased to dedicate our beautiful Memory Garden to my father, Louis, as we continue the tradition of values he established for all of our facilities."
